An Open Letter to Rosemary and Caroline Wright
From Lesley Jack

Dear Carolyn and Rosemary,

I am so sorry for the loss of your lovely father and husband.

Trevor was a wonderful friend to my Dad, Mum and me. My earliest memories of Trevor was about 1978; he would come over to my parent's house at 815 West 15th Avenue and have tea. He was always sweet, kind and patient, and a great favourite of my son Colin.

When my Mum came to live with me in Richmond in 2012, she was so upset that she had lost her driver's license. Trevor filled the gap; every month he would come and pick her up and take her to the Senior's gatherings, something my Mum and I always appreciated.

My Dad and Trevor were Navy men, so their discipline and punctuality were necessary, and Trevor was never late. The soccer championships (FIFA) are another favourite memory, my Dad, Trevor, Willie, Peter, Archie and Joe all sitting around the TV set and cheering or grumbling about their team.

I will miss his face at all the Anglo-Indian gatherings, his warm hug, his quiet way, and the soft “God Bless you” when he said good-bye.

Take care, and I will be in touch as soon as all these restrictions lift and we can move around freely.

Love and hugs to both of you.
Lesley
